My Gateway Fx did ok with this, but it could really use a third fan. Other than that, did much better than my previous Swiss Gear Pad.

I’ve had this for about a month now, and it is beyond satisfactory. My laptop is pretty old and gets overheated very quickly, but this product keeps it nice and cool. The air flow is great. I also love the fact that you can move the fans to the hot spot where they are needed the most. So far it seems very sturdy.

I just received this today and so far, it’s pretty great. My laptop’s core temperature was less than desirable (83 C just playing games on facebook!!), so this is just what I needed. Doing the same exact things that made my core reach 83 C, my laptop is currently around 60 C.
Pros: Quiet, stable, laptop does not slide, fans are REALLY easy to move, usb powered while not taking up a slot (takes 1, adds 1), comes with a strap that can help hold your laptop on even though it won’t need it. This works with fat 15.4 laptops and should be fine with fat 17 inch laptops. Also, I love the angle it puts the laptop at, and I think it would even be helpful with the fans off. It’s a pretty good design.
Cons: My laptop is 15.4 inches and fits perfectly. If your computer is 17 inch (which it says it supports), it WILL be hanging off the edges. As it is, mine is a millimeter or two past the left and right edge. My laptop is a bit under 14.5 inches wide. This is perfect for me, but I really advise getting something a tad wider if you have a bigger laptop.
Conclusion: If your laptop is not much wider than 14 inches across, you should get this. This is just under 14 inches wide (I measured).
